I am working on a book on Digital Photography, and need some photographs to be used as illustrations. The name of photographer/s shall be suitably acknowledged.
Interested? Please PM or email me.

Well, according to this thread, some little girl named lovethelight is supposed to be the biggest thing since sliced bread... at least around here. However, I've heard that the guy that started that thread is a known wackadoo. Apparently, he's not dangerous, just a harmless egomaniac, but you should still take whatever he says with a few dashes of salt.

There was also another thread that said the real dpc super-genius-photographer is someone named pointandshoot. Yeah... go figure. I think it's probably just more nonsense from another nut job, but who's to say?

Lastly, there's this thread. I have no idea what to make of it. According to that one, there are several different photographers that are dpc's finest. Of course we all know that's simply ridiculous. The real super-genius is this guy.

Take your pick.

Your basic question is useless. Photos of what, as NstiG8tr asked. For free? For pay? A book "about" digital photography? What does that mean? How-to? Equipment? Photoshop tricks? Just images? Targeted at neophytes, experienced photographers, people who like to look at pictures?

C'mon, you can do better than that. If you want people to get enthusiastic about joining your project, you got to give them something to get enthusiastic ABOUT.

People here are intelligent enough to understand what goes into making a book on Digital Photography.
Let me clarify further - This is going to be THE DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY HANDBOOK for Amateur Photographers.
It will deal with all aspects of Digital Photography such as:
Compact, Prosumer and SLR Cameras
Buying a Camera?
Getting the Exposure Right
Getting the Colour Right
White Balance
Editing Images with Photoshop
Advanced techniques

Regarding payments, we can work out with mutual agreement. Initially, it will be an e-book available free of cost at lulu.com. We will decide about pricing and all after seeing its response.

Then you'll certainly be needing some pretty extensive explanation and workflow if you want anyone to learn anything from the images.

If it's for amateurs, the images will be worthless without a step by step process of how to achieve the end result.

ETA: I would think that you might want input from various photogs on their views of the aforementioned topics as well.

There are a lot of talented and articulate people here to cull from.......if you ask nicely.
