Hi. I was curious if you can run Neat Image under basic editing rules?

Yes.

Yes - as long as it is applied to the entire image. You can use both Neat image and Noise Ninja for noise reduction etc.

From the rules themselves!

You May:
use filters or stand-alone utilities designed to preserve image integrity (such as Neat Image...

It doesn't get much clearer than that.

Sorry, I'm that guy that reads the instructions after he has spent 2 hours and can't figure out why slot A won't go into slot B.

That is your first problem! I don't think you can put a slot into another slot. You want to put tab A into slot A...

But you've been reading them for almost 6 years now. :)

Slot A does fit into slot B, it takes a little bit of filing though. eheh

No wonder you are confused; you need to put Tab A into Slot B ... and yes you can run noise-reduction software (applied to the entire image) in Basic Editing challenges.
