....where would it be, why would you go there and, mostly importantly, what would you photograph?! :o)

if i was limited to only one place i would choose a place that is significant for other than photographic reasons. i would visit Wales. that is the home of my ancestors (at least 100 years ago). I would definitely bring my camera though.

It would be a return to Alberta, Canada. Why? because the formative years of my childhood were spent there and I remember the views of the Rockies like it was yesterday.

I would photograph EVERYTHING!!!

I've always wanted to visit Greece, especially to have the time and the funds to just travel around the small islands for months on end. Photographically and culturally, New Zealand really draws me. It's a hard choice... Probably Greece.

Hard to decide but two that come to mind are:

1. Visit the place where life first begin on Earth. I could take some interesting (and more meaningful) water drop shots in the primoridal soup. :P

2. Visit one of the moons of Jupiter or Saturn and take night sky photos all day. Oh wait you probably meant this world only.

I would recommend Egypt and Cambodia. They are the two best places I've been - just fascinating.

As for places I haven't been and would like to visit for photography, how about the Playboy Mansion?!! I heard it has some lovely architecture.;-)

Hah! We actually shot the Playboy Mansion on assignment way back when — maybe 1978, thereabouts...

hey, if everyone else can pick a country, I pick China. the Forbidden city, Panda Bears, the Great Wall, Yangtze River, etc... I could spend a lifetime and never capture everything.

Or a boat trip down the entire Danube.

Okay, I'll be serious (I'm from Youngstown).

Easter Island. Why? Because everyone seems to know about it but it's so inaccessible that nobody really goes there. And I'd photograph the giant stone heads, of course. And everything else.

I went there in the summer of 2007. It's quite a place but the flies were almost unbearable.

Oh geez just 1 place?!...I do have to admit ancient civilizations have always intrigued me, but which one country...probably would be Easter Island, and I'd shoot everything.

India for the food, interesting culture, vibrant colours and historical importance.

Venice, Italy.
For the coffee and food, of course :)
From what I have read, Venice is full of wonderful statuary and architecture that you just can't see anywhere else in the world. That is what I would photograph. As much of it as I could.
