It's snowing heavily in Aberdeen, yay!

Everything is so white.

We stayed up all night to play in the snow (lol sad I know), and now I'm going to sleep (8.30am)

Lol, sounds about the same as we do here on the rare occasions of a drop of the white stuff.
It's fun when you only have to deal with it a few days a year, eh? :D

We got a good solid foot down yesterday. About amonth in advance. We usually only start getting serious snow in December.

I will upload pics later

We only have a dusting (about 1/8 of an inch). However, the temp is hovering around 16 degrees F.

A snowfall does make everything look and feel magical.
Fun to photograph and play in; a pain to shovel and clean off :)

Enjoy your snow!

I just spent $40 at a flea market buying a set of snowshoes, because I know I'll need them. I doubt anyone else on this thread will!

Pfff, everything goes white in 15 min, a sloshy wet icy whitish slur, and 15 min later it is gone again. Still the kids manage to hit my car with a dozen snowballs. :)

You're right, I don't need them b/c I have humongous feet. ;}

Seriously though, I hope we get as much or more snow than last year. I would be the happiest Canadian. :)

Of course these are not from today and not from this country.

Snowshoes, need 'em for my job. I just wish the snow wouldn't melt, they're worthless in the summer.

snow..... hum. Not my favourite form of precipitation. I am now delayed at Manchester Airport, UK, as the inbound flight from Helsinki has been delayed due to a very bad snow storm. Seems I'm going to either end up being diverted somewhere I don't want/need to go or, arriving home at 4.00 am via bus transportation. Not very enthralled with either prospect right now. It may look nice but.....

Susan, are you expecting more snow than last year? If so I'm moving to Ottawa pronto! :D I want to live to see the snowstorm of all snowstorms. Like the 66cm dropping in Halifax 4 years ago, lucky them. :(

dang, i wish it would snow here already. last year we had an awesome white thanksgiving, hope we gethammered soon.

We had enough snow last year that if it did nothing but rain a few times this winter I wouldn't be too upset. A couple of inches for the holidays would be nice providing it melts fast and doesn't come back.

Thank gawd the forecast is for LESS snow than last year...but still more snow than the year before. I think last year broke records going back to 1971. Ottawa in particular had problems, they were running out of places to dump it. It was freakin' nuts.

And re my earlier quote...ok ok, maybe some other nutjobs err, nice people on this thread will feel compelled to strap big wooden-and-sinew frames to their feet and go tromping around...

Did any one recognise the Renault 4?

Ok, you s*** lovers, you're all welcome to winter here at Chateau Snaffles. I've got lots of room, there's tons of scenery out here, Ottawa is nearby too, so pack up your cameras, a change of clothes (including long johns) and bring your sleeping bags

In order to earn your keep you will be expected to organize my studio, assist with shoots, clean the place every so often and of course brush Druli and Lily and clean their litterbox.

And oh yes you will be expected to keep my driveway shovelled and dig out my car:

Any takers? ;-)
