How long did it take for you to sell your first print? Also, what kind of numbers do you get on an average basis?

I posted my photos in the beginning of July and sold my first photos on July 8th.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean by "what kind of numbers..." Are you talking hits or sales? In the past month, I've had a little over 500 referrals, which averages out to about 16 a day.

By numbers I mean, do you see a lot of sales on a pretty consistent basis. Obviously I am nowhere near your level, I am just starting to get into the print thing and hoping there may be some person out there that might want to buy a print someday. I guess my question is, as time goes by and I get better at photography, will I see better (or any) sales?

I've sold 25 prints in a little over a year, most of them not to friends. Made a total of $130 profit (which includes four referrals of other people's prints). But then, I have a lot of photos up there for sale. I've also not got a clear "best seller", there are a couple I have sold twice, but most of them just once...

there's a section under my account that gives you tips on how to drive up sales. check it out. As for my sales, I have sold just one sad print despite a high number of referals

Well, I am going to continue on uploading printable shots and just keep watching. I think I am going to try to find more ways to bring more traffic (other than winning a ribbon...which probably won't happen for approximately 10 years, at best) and watch, hope, and pray.
