OK, I was gonna wait a while before posting this but thought as TonyUK was looking for photography buddies in the North West this was a good time to try and organise a GTG!

Thoughts so far:

Liverpool - A place I haven't had the chance to really get stuck into photography wise so it would be really good to get chance to do that with some of you guys :o)

DATE: Saturday 7th March 2009 - City of Liverpool

Right now I am looking for an idea of who might be interested in either or both of these GTG's and if the dates will be ok? :o)

Once I get an idea of numbers I will start making a rough route plan for the City GTG and I'll post it here as soon as I can :o)

If we get enough interest in this event I will try and organise a GTG at Formby over the summer :o)

Provisional list:

talj
Ecce Signum
JH
Melethia
SaraR
salmiakki
JimiRose
pffree

That's cheating! - Okay, you twisted my arm; Holyhead is only an hour away from me. And then another hour or two to either of the GTG locations.

And March 2009 is far enough away that I can start making excuses now.

GREAT!!

Weekends we have to choose from are:

7th / 8th
14th / 15th
21st / 22nd
28th / 29th

Bold ones are the best for me :o) Anyone else got any preferences? :o)

Keep me informed on this - I do want to come back over and March would be a lovely (cold, wet, blustery) time!

I am pretty interested, although can't commit just yet - and it would god to see you again Talj!

And as you know, T, I'm definitely in.

Cool, glad to see there might be a bit of interest in this!

Once the London GTG is out the way I'll start working on a plan for the Liverpool part of this one! Formby should be easy ;o)

If its a Saturday there's a fair chance I can come over the hill. Sundays are all booked up with teaching I'm afraid.
Oh and 14/15 is my sons b/day so that weekend is a no go for me.

btw - Red Squirrels at Formby have been decimated by the Squirrel Pox. Something like 70% have been killed since last year. Don't expect to get such great shots especially with such a large group.

Hey - now who said something about Holyhead - yeah an Angelsey GTG - now you talking ;-)

ooh, that's something I didn't know, gosh, we should be thankful that my parents have a few hanging out in their back garden.

It was on a programme I was watching the other day, fingers crossed there are still a few left! However, I'd like to make it down to the sea just as much as seeing the squirrels so either way I'm happy ;o)

Now Keith, North Wales is the place to go...if you fancy rain 24/7! lol ;o)

I've added the dates for this GTG and would appreciate your thoughts/feedback...think you'll be able make one or both of the days? :o)

T, as you know I am very much in favour of this. Only fly in the ointment right now is my ability to travel. (Also, it's Mum's birthday on 8th which may throw a spanner in the works if I am allowed to fly). I would definitely be up for some or all of this though.

I've had my surgery date through today which has spurred me on to set a date for this as it's now the only weekend I can do for about 3 months after the 9th March :o(

Maybe we could make it the 7th in the city and do Formby at a later date? Fingers crossed you're fit to fly!

I've been made aware of this GTG by Sarah, who I had the pleasure to meet recently last year. I live in Liverpool, so would be very willing to join into this GTG.

Thought I'd give this a bump to see if there's any interest?

Here's a few places we are thinking of taking a look at:

Pier Head & Three Graces
(Ferry trip if people want to and if the weathers nice to us)

Cavern club (possibly)

Albert Dock

Chinese Arch
(is it really worth it?)

Anglican Cathedral

Metropolitan Cathedral

Just bumping this one up as it's happening on Saturday March 7th. According to Talj it may be a rather small gathering, but if anyone is interested we will be meeting at 11.00 am by The Beatles Story, at the Albert Dock in Liverpool. At this moment in time the definite attendees are

Salmiakki
Talj
Ecce Signum

If anybody else is interested then drop me or Talj a pm.
