Wow, what a lovely photogenic child. She has such an aristocratic look. Please tell us your lighting setup. It looks perfect to me. |

Thanks guys, and thanks everyone, for all the comments!
The lighting was all natural. We were by the lake on an overcast day. I was nonchalantly stalking her as she was standing at the shore, watching the ducks, and turned to look at me. There were dark trees close by, to the left, to soak up some of the light on that side.
FYI, my settings were:
ISO 100
F/3.2
1/250
24-70 f2.8L lens, and I was at the 70mm end.
Goretex boots to keep my feet dry. ;-)

Add some contrast, then create a soft blur removing it from her eyes only.
