Oh how delightful that would be!

I read all the Grimm stories when I was a kid but I can't remember any, except Rumplestiltskin. That was a Grimm story, right....? Well, who cares when the name is that awesome.

Arrrgggghhhhh! Dang. Who has time for this? I've been looking over the Grimm Fairytales from one of the links Judi provided. Some serious setup time going to be needed to compete in this one. :-/

Side note...didn't realize religion played such a strong role in these fairytales.

Religion has played a strong role in everything.

The stories in the original format were pretty strong stuff designed for adults to read, they later made them more palatable to younger tastes, and used them as morality tales.

And thanks for the links, Judi - after looking at your portfolio, I'm sure you won't have any problem with props or costumes! :-)

Wow, the story The Jew In Thorns is pretty damn bad by today's standards! I've gotten through some good stories from those links, think I know the one I wanna do but it'll be a matter of resource availability.

I dont know if I would agree with that, they were definitely strong but as far as being for adults, I would have to say they were meant to scare the kids onto the right track more times than not. They have definitely gotten more palatable over the years, more politically correct and soft. But so has everything these days, except video games, lol.

Anyway, Im looking forward to this challenge, though unfortunately Im not sure I will have the resources available to make some of my visions into reality on film.

You can do so many amazing things with this. Those who have time and an idea are going to tear this up.

I have a couple of ideas now, have just spent the last hour reminding myself of the fairy tales from the wiki page. Much more interesting than actually doing work : )

I'm excited to see everyone's work. I love the Grimms fairy tales.
Just a week to get a model, find location, and make clothes..lol..
Not enough time for me at all and thats the challenge.
AND manny stories to choose from. I need to narrow down my choices..

:D
