I think you are reading into it way too much. She was just an example of what she thought a bummer was.

I just now posted mine and REALLY hope you guys like it. I think I took a more different approach. I am really looking forward to seeing what people do for this one. This is a wide open subject.

I'm really looking forward to seeing all the humerous entries, I've always loved funny shots and take them myself whenever I can.

Perhaps the right thing for YOU to do is that. It's not the right thing for me to do. If the photographer cannot convey the challenge to me in their photograph, I vote it lower. That's all there is to it. I don't sit there and say, "Well, I'm sure they meant well."

Such is the great thing about diversity.

Your way is how most voters at DPC tend to vote especially those relatively new, which is to treat everything as stock photography so I'd hardly call that diversity. Besides, photojournalism need not hit people over the head, hence why titles/captions are used to accompany those photos in real life and last I checked titles are required for entry here. So if you want to go ignoring part of the submission that's your prerogative but it won't make you right for doing so.

I know I've seen that ad before -- either it airs on U.S. television as well, or I saw it on one of those World's Funniest Commercials programs. It's hilarious.

Yes it has been on Funniest Commercials a few times. There is at least one other version of it done by the same company....but I can't seem to find it.

Must . . . . Stop . . . . Editing!

I now have eight different versions of the same shot, and nobody here to help me figure out which one to enter.

2 1/2 hours until rollover, and I think I'm going with the one my son recommended before he went home.

I'm opening a beer and watching some tv. . . . I'm not going to change my entry again!

Really. . . I'm not!

At least you have a shot. I went out today in one last-ditch effort to get something, and got absolutely nothing.

So I continue to be update-button less. What a bummer.

HEY WAIT!!!

Quick! Set up a background that looks like the DPC website in 3D! Get an action figure and a mesh bag! Buy yourself some wooden letters that spell [Update] and paint them blue! Take a shot that looks like the action figure is stealing the update button! It's a sure winner fifth place finisher!

Sorry, I had to! :)

Well *)*#%#, I was in the middle of doing JUST THAT, now I have to re-set up everything and do something completely different. THANKS A LOT ;)

Actually, I'm just going to go watch the hockey game.
