Sitting here, halfway through a bottle of whisky, a thought occurred to me: I like unusual pictures and what is often considered as "out of the box" and, additionally, I'm suffering a bit of a slump recently. A crisis of confidence, if you will. Anyway, I've got a gift membership to give away and I'd like to give it to the registered user who can use weirdness to the best effect. All you registered users, why don't you post your weird and unusual photos here? The one I deem as being the most gratifying to my stunted sense of art will earn its creator the aforementioned gift membership for a year.

I'm thinking of some serious rule-breaking, some odd use of angle, some strange slant on the world.

The quid pro quo here is that, given half a chance, I'll steal emulate your ideas.

There's no real limit on processing, save that the original idea (and the bulk of the photograph) must be your own.

Don't forget that you don't need a portfolio here to post your images, that could be done from an external site, such as Flickr.

NB: This thread is not intended to promote Flickr in any way, it's just that I've got an account there and know a little of it. There are plenty other image hosting websites

Thank you for looking.

Super idea. Looking forward to seeing some more samples. (Finished the whiskey, or can I join you?) So far, invisicar is worthy.

Interesting thread.
Here's the strangest one in my portfolio for you to have a grin with, but I do not need a paid membership. It may be good for an example of weirdness.

I thought this an excellent idea for a membership giveaway, and was looking forward to viewing all the weird and wonderful natural and photoshopped creations registered users would come up with. Perhaps there aren't many here yet because people are busy working on their surrealistic masterpieces....

Shameless self promotion but my membership just expired and this time I couldn't renew immediately (too many expenses).

sorry I couldn't remember how to post a clickable image, but added the links instead of pasting the big images to keep the thread "cleaner". Flickr
