I was asked by a friend to shoot for an ad of Hi-Dee Jeans. I hesitated because I didn't have any experience doing ads. But when he mentioned that he will have 12 international models (he's a model himself) to wear the jeans, I didn't hesitate.

I enjoyed it a lot. I had the freedom to do whatever I wanna do.

Along that vein, I also post-processed the pictures not using my usual style.

Here are some models I worked with:

EKA

THOMAS

RAFAELA

COLLINS

Quite busy in school. But that's not a bad idea. There are so many great photographers in dpchallenge now.

The 2nd set of photos you posted show off the product very well. They definitely have the "Manny Librodo style". Great work as always.

Awesome. I want to be like you when I grow up. How about showing us the lighting setup? Lots of strobes and bounces, I guess?

Thanks David.

Lighting? Actually, I don't know how to use one but I know how to FIND one. I also reinforce/redirect light using a reflector.

And some photoshop.:)

Wow. As always, your work simply blows me away.

I think what sets you apart isn't your photographic talent but your ability to connect with people; you show us a glimpse of the person behind the face and make us want to know more. It's a rare thing to approach a stranger and leave as a friend, yet it seems natural and common for you. That, to me, is a very special gift, and one you use so well.

I hope you got something to use for POTY08 for Digital Camera Mag. I look forward to it.

Connecting with people is a VERY important factor especially in portraiture. I think you should also learn when to press the shutter.

That's an interesting observation.:)
