I'm envisioning someone trying to move the moon or sun in the sky - or trying to move a building (perception used kind of like how people pose with it int he palm of their hand but instead- pushing at it) or something of the like? trying to move a boulder with some twine (kids) trying to move an object that is obviously bolted to the floor... etc.... hmm.... a car with no wheels? (a train that is not on the tracks?) --

and yeah that thought of the far-side cartoon popped into my head too and made me smile ;) :-D

also other out of the box ideas that pop into my head are things like someone trying to move the ocean one cup at a time (or a beach one grain of sand at a time)

if it didn't stipulate SOMEONE i would think of animals trying to move things like a fly triying to carry a crumb that is wayyyy too big- or a dog pulling on a rope tied to a tree that it could in no way pull.... but unfortunately it does stipulate someone and entries without a person trying to move the object/item in question would be dnmc by voters...hmm...*contemplates more*

Very much subject to a literalist interpretation. However, if I have a good idea come to me, I'll just enter it and take my 4.

I don't think discussing ideas about an upcoming challenge is a very sensible idea at all.....suppose someone mentions something that someone has just submitted or already thought of, that person is going to look like they've plagerised the idea.

Anyways, I had a couple of pretty cool ideas for the Immovable challenge but unfortunately, haven't the resources to bring them to life. Gutted :(

Plagiarizing ideas? Dear lady, that is the certain way to a ribbon on DPC!

I did too actually :P

Perhaps my longing for real originality is an old-fashioned sentiment here on DPC. I wonder how I could fit a water-drop into the immovable theme.....

people who are stumped on what to do can get inspired from other peoples ideas= and if someone is sharing the idea in the forum its obviously OK for other people to do (otherwise we would hoard our ideas) :-D ten people can photograph a person digging a hole (*trying to move the planet earth* *hehe*) - but I can guarantee that DPC will manage to vote best-to worst ;) :-D

trying to move the elements? :-D

a reflection of a photo of someone trying to move a building inside the waterdrop!? :-D

someone trying to burst out of the waterdrop? ;) trying to 'move' the invisible field around them (air /tension/ hmm....-contemplates*)

trying to move light? :-) someone pushing on a beam of light that is immovable while water drips down the center? :-D :-)
