Hey all.

For this Overexposed challenge are we looking for high key shots mostly? I don't see how overexposure can be used in a good way but it's late and i'm very tired.

Any ideas peeps?

I didn't take the time to search for similar challenges.

Hi Guys,

Anyone got any examples on how an over-expose picture would look good?

Probably not the best example on second though. The sun is always overexposed, and this image uses an overlay (illegal).

My high contrast entry was overexposed in areas:

Overexposed -- again, it's the sun but reflected now. It wasn't real popular with the voters (probably didn't meet the challenge well):

Parts of this are overexposed, enhanced in post processing.

The last image brings up an interesting point -- I can see folks clipping into their highlights in levels/curves for an overexposed effect. Overexposing in PP is probably not what's intended here.

But Judi, you're "lilly white ass" would be PERFECT for this challenge then ;) Im talking purely in an artistic photographic way of course like on a nice white sandy beach during mid day :D

Overexposed on the Pet Portrait challenge.... did NOT go over well at all. 3rd from last... ew. Not saying it's perfect; There are many things I would change if I did it over again.

I think that portrait of a siamese is a good angle on the challenge. The composition could be better and that background stuff at the top, as indistinct and half invisible as it is, is distracting. The picture wants a totally blown out white background. The effect of a light-handed sketch on white is great though.

I think a bunch of white kids/folk in the company of black counterparts, overexposed to make the white people more or less like ghosts, would be a seriously good bit of photography. Whether or not it would rock dpc's cradle I don't know...

So do you think something this would work?
