Hey everyone,

I just finished revamping my web site yesterday and I got it up and running at ryandunnewold.com, I'm still messing around with different ideas. Tell me what you think is good, bad, needs improvement, how to improve it, really anything that comes to mind about it (within reason).

Appreciate it (in advance),
Ryan

Wow, I just wanted to let you know that of the parts of your portfolio, I really liked looking at your portrait work! I mean, all of your shots were great, but I just think that you really captured the essence of the people you photograph.

I also like how the links pop down after you click on them on the left. Only thing is, you should see about making the links .gif files instead of jpeg so that you can eliminate that annoying noise that you get from constant colors of jpegs.

So far so good! I have to finish my website really soon too, and you are obviously further than me! I am just curious, did you work on this from scratch or did you purchase a template?

~Jason

Easy to navigate, nice and simple touch, neutral background is pleasing to the eye. Your photography (galleries) are nice. Great shots btw. I would suggest putting your logo or company name at top. Other than that, it looks good to me.

If you want to get work from the site, don't start the "about me" section with a paragraph about your equipment. Tell us about yourself, your passions, experience, likes, interest, etc. Remember that you are being hired not your camera. You can talk about equipment at the end, just keep in mind that most people browsing dont know a Nikon 50 from a Canon 30 from a Kodak Brownie.

When you use images for your text instead of actual text, your site is completely invisible to search engines. This means your site will not come up on Google, Yahoo, etc. I would strongly suggest changing that.

Also, your font is not a good one for online. Cursive fonts are okay for reading on paper, but not on a monitor.

If you use the alt="" tag with your image I believe the search engines will pick that up. Don't quote me on it though :)

I don't know how you're building your site, but to make life easier on those contact you, replace the IMG tag you currently have with the following HTML on your About Me page, so that your e-mail address is clickable:

Great site. I would put one of your images at the top. something simple and not too distracting. What are the menus coded in?

Thanks, I'll see what I can do about that. The menus are just html, I have them on a table, so when you click portfolio it keeps everything the same, but adds a couple of rows to the table. I was going for a "flash" look to it, without the knowledge of flash, hopefully it turned out to look like that.
