Show-off!

Hi, so em3 asked me how I managed to get so close to this car:

Well, it helps to be a Renault F1 fan and show up at the road show exhibition dressed as if a Renault got sick on you. Had the shirt cap and my Puma shoes on. I stood next to the fence, took out my camera to start shooting. The security guard approached me and told me to come inside. Was awesome!

I will have another go at getting a photo in.[img]http:picasaweb.google.com/MarijoBrady/Downtown#Taxi reflections[/img] Well, that still doesn't work. It hasn't inserted my photo and you can't click on that.

Maybe this will work, if it does I'll tell you how!!

ok, the thumbnail URL I got from right clicking the thumbnail and properties as the URL you had was for the page and not just the image thumbnail.

Then got the URL of the main image and used the thumbnail as the anchor

Like this ... (replace { with the square brackets)

{url=//picasaweb.google.com/MarijoBrady/Downtown#5241698633200614482}{img}//lh3.ggpht.com/MarijoBrady/SL5BIpuSvFI/AAAAAAAAAIQ/gH6xYOgmPjM/s128/RIMG2348.JPG{/img}{/url}

Hi! Sorry for not posting a single car shot ... I was really looking forward tho this challenge.
But ... my husband fell from the sky, he had a paraglider accident on the last day of August and broke his back. We were at a hospital far away from home for the the first 10 days of September and then, when he was transferred to Nagoya where we live for surgery, I still couldn't make time to take any pictures at all.
The good news is, that he can get up and walk - all it took was plain luck, a "spare" rib for spine support, lots a metal and two big cuts to fix him.

When I can, I will take a closer look at all the vehicles!

On your img url you seem to be missing a letter, it should be //lh3..... and you have //h3.... for the thumbnail

you also have an extra img tag around everything as well

you need

[ url=//picasaweb.google.com/MarijoBrady/Downtown#5241698633200614482]
[ img]//lh3.ggpht.com/MarijoBrady/SL5BIpuSvFI/AAAAAAAAAIQ/gH6xYOgmPjM/s128/RIMG2348.JPG[/img]
[/url]

just remove the first spaces before url= and img]

Busy yesterday, so here are Day 19 & Day 20:

Not much difference between them really, one sells icecreams, the other makes nice screams!!

Okay, these are really from the archives: 1957. This is the MG TD
now in black and white as the colors in the originals disappeared
long ago. However, that TD was a nice metallic blue with black top.
(sigh - it was beautiful) Tomorrow, maybe, the MG TF 1500 will make an
appearance.

......

I will say these pics are a bit dirty. Sorry.
They've been on many a bulletin board
and kitchen wall in their lifetime.

What a time you two have had. I'm so glad to hear the surgery went well and that your guy can walk again. Sounds as if the surgery was of the 'impressive' kind. You've been where you needed to be, for sure. Keep us posted on progress, will you?

:-))
