Any bird know-it-alls around ?
My kids and I saw this sweet little fledgling the other day.
I've got a feeling it's a sparrow (since we have lots of them around), but I don't know.
The yellow on the wing tips is throwing me off.
Any ideas ?

| The yellow tips make me think Waxwing. Either Bohemian or Cedar. |

It helps to know what part of Canada you are in...

| I agree with kroo, and as Bear_Music stated, depending on where you are in Canada. If you are in the WESTERN third of Canada, chances are it could be either. Anywhere else, and it is most likely a Cedar Waxwing. |

I’m 99.9% sure it’s an ostrich. Have you tried riding it? I hear you can ride them.

I found a shot on Flickr that's very similar to yours. I think the Cedar Waxwing identity is correct. Definitely a teeny tiny baby.

Then I'd put my money on the cedar Waxwing, though it's sometimes hard to tell with really tiny babies...
