I only see 4 or 5 that don't seem to meet the challenge real well. Maybe you gave me that 3 :P

Perhaps it's just me, but there are a lot of photos that are anything but a point of color. This will be a tough one to vote on.

Edit: I didn't see what you posted above Judy, and before I read that I was already thinking about only 10% meet the description.

I think with all the requests for expert editing langdon wanted to point out to us about how overly dependent on Photoshop and inexperienced with actual photography and art concepts in general we are.

I agree, TONS of DNMC's. I know that it was a confusing subject, but still...some of them are way off, IMO. I don't really know how to score this one.

Judging by my score I would say I am way off....can you please explain to me what is a correct image for this challenge?

I don't think Langdon thinks about it all that much. ;-)

i'm watching my score bounce up and down about 1/2 a point ---it would seem many voters aren't sure how to score

Mine is all over the place, 3's 5's, 1's, probably a few 6's in there too. It is funny.

To me the key word is point. There are a ton of images that have much more than a point of color.

I truly believe mine is point of color and I'm scared to think that some people actually agree with me.

I don't agree with voting people down on semantics. I'll give 7's and 8's to beautiful seascapes that are in a landscapes challenge. If I wanted to play it strict with the challenge title, then pretty soon I'm debating if I should use 18th century french definitions of landscape, or if I should bust out the Sakuteiki and give everyone 3's.

If there is at least one point of color, the image is technically sound, and has an impact, then it recieves a good vote from me. Additional points of color be damned.

I agree. There are lots of them have color all over the place. To me I thought the challenge meant that your photo should have a background that is pretty muted or all one color and then have one pop of WOW color somewhere in the photo. For example, like photos that are all black and white with one thing left in color that really stands out. A lot of the photos in this challenge are very colorful, but I can't pinpoint one WOW pop of color in a lot of them. This was a tricky one though and judging by the photos I think we all interpreted it differently. I guess I don't even know that my interpretation is correct!

Mine actually has both....I can't say much more than that till the end of voting...but it is getting hammered!

YES - I think you are right and I thought along the lines you did as far as what "point of color" meant."
