wide angle lense

My budget is limited 200-300$ OR LESS if possible at all, but I also want quality

that might be difficult to find. If you want a good quality wide angle lens you need to spend at least 500 dollars if not more. But if you're lucky you may find some used wide-angles for cheaper.

I actually just bought a lens yesterday, I was going for the 10-22 but it was too expensive at $870.00 Canadian. You will probably wanna go for the Tokina or the Sigma.

Sigma 20mm f1.8. Have to look around but you can get one within your budget.

I'm agree with mattforbes. Get Sigma 20mm f1.8.
Here I found its lowest price: $266 only, which is absolutely satisfy with your budget.
My girlfriend has this lens and very enjoy it

To me, 20mm on a 1.6 crop body like the Rebel, isn't very wide. By wide I mean to get impressive perspective and expansive landscapes, that when you look at them you know they're wide angle. 20mm and up is not wide to me.

Right. Even the kit lens goes wider than that.

For that kind of budget you will be really stretched to get quality wide angle wider than the kit lens.

If you are willing to sacrifice some quality for a lot of fun and extreme wide angle, then the 8mm Peleng should be within your budget (eBay is a good source).

I've been thinking about getting one of those Peleng 8mm. I just might ask my bank (my wife) if I can purchase one of those for fun. Then I'll have to wait for the Canon mount to pop up (become available).
