So, for those who follow football (or soccer, for our brothers across the pond!), who will you be surporting in Euro 2008 and why?

Being from Portugal, I'll obviously be supporting Portugal!!! Viva Portugal!!!!!!

As a bitter Englishman, I shall be crying for the next month or so... ;-)

I saw a quiz in a newspaper, suggesting which team you should support based on your favourite club and opinions etc, and it suggested I support Croatia, then Spain, so there I go.

Oooh! Fighting talk...I like it! I reckon that one will be a draw, but I'd obviously have to edge portugal on that one, with the likes of ronaldo, quaresma, deco, carvalho et cetera! They don't call us the brazilians of europe for nothing fella!

At least you won't get the satisfaction of knocking us English out on penalties again ;-)

portugal proved many times that big names mean absolutely nothing in football, but you already know that ... and everyone else too :-)

Well...don't worry, I don't like to rub peoples faces in details like that. I tend to work on law of averages, so I'm expecting a thumping from England in the near future, as horrible as that is to contemplate living in manchester!!! and being surrounded by englishmen!!! I would like to point out mind you, that I do have dual citizenship, so I am a brit...in away, and I'm probably more manc than I am portuguese having lived in manchester for most of my life! But never have liked the english football team and all the hype that surrounds it before each tournament - they alway's flatter to decieve and never give portugal a bloody chance!!!

That may be true, but on record in major championships, I believe we wipe the floor with you! ;-)

Italy!

I support them, but have to admit they may be one of the most 'dramatic' teams ever. After that Nertherlands (though Italy and the dutch are in the same group!)

i remember that, it was 0:3 for you i think, but the catch was we played with "second" team so we can later get to 3rd place in a world cup !!! (am i right or we have to consult some web site ?)

hardly. not a chance for this team to win eurocup, france did won the worldcup and eurocup within 2 years but france players were absolutely top notch in that period, which italy players unfortunately are not. my 0.02€.

Never put money on the porkancheese, I almost came to the point of renouncing my nationality when they lost to greece in the final of euro 2004 IN PORTUGAL!!! To this day, that is the biggest disgust of my life - bloody muppets!!!

Probably France, seeing as I lived there for the best part of a year. But essentially I'm another bitter Englishman.

Having said that, my team won the FA Cup this year so I can't be too unhappy!

Damn, Cannavaro (one of our best defenders and the captain of Italy) is out!!!!!! But we are always the world champions. we will see..... I support Italy obviously but sometimes in the championship there are surprise. Italy, but look for the Germany is always in the top team, even when they haven't a good team! Portugal the possible surprise and France eheheh another final Italy vs france? fascinating :)

I am rooting for the grass (lawn). It grows faster than the action in a soccer game.
