no ya narna,

I always carry my camera around with me, no matter what state I am in. Even when I went to the ER i had it right there with me, out to dinner, out on a date, after several gins

DO you carry all your lens and such, or just a camera?
04/26/2008 07:19:03 PM · #11
Only when I'm on a shoot, never just to have that "lucky shot".

Not my thing ;)
04/26/2008 07:23:07 PM · #12
I don't do it for a lucky shot, if I get one great. But it was like I was telling Bear. I will take a picture of anything that catches my fancy, maybe a bird that my kids would like, a lizard that has pretty colours.

I think when i am not out shooting on a shoot or for something serious, I am a point and shoot person,

Like the day, one of our kittens climbed a tree and thought it was stuck, I took a picture beofre i was going to climb up and rescue her, and a bird sat down beside her, they just looked at each other as though to say WTF you doing.

it was so funny

well everybody shoots different things..

I choose composition, lighting, and with model-photography expression and pose. That takes time, and somehow it feels like I can't do "lucky shots" anymore. One reason for me to buy a P&S camera and try it again. No luck yet ;)

I always carry mine whereever I am going unless I know that it will either be at risk or a serious hinderment, such as someone offering me lunch at fast food and I don't want to have it hanging off me or chance forgetting it on the floor.

As for equipment I only have the one 18-200mm lens, once I get other lenses those will get their own bag and may get left in the trunk just picking one to use, probably the 18-200 again :)

it is glued to me

Pretty much all the time, either the big P&S or the little one, sometimes both if I am going by car. Will pretty much take a picture of anything, and think about setups for shots but rarely do them, though I will take my tripod into the field depending on my ambition which rarely amounts to much. (If I upgrade to a DSLR, the taking with business is going to be a bit of problem - i.e. will require a little more ambition).

mostly, ALL THE TIME.

Pretty much all the time...I live in a tourist area and look the part.
04/28/2008 03:00:05 PM · #19
Yup, all the time, with the 18-200 "walk-around" lens attached.

As often as possible, with the 18-200 lens and an SB-600 flash unit, all tucked in a not-too-big Slingshot. The shopping cart picture in this month's side challenge, which got a lot of good comments, is a good example of that: my son and I were bored stiff waiting in the car for my wife who was in the market, so I took out the camera and just started shooting.

i never just carry it around ... only when i'm specifically going out to shoot
04/28/2008 03:13:27 PM · #22
I carry my bag which has everything in it except for my tripod. I actually now have a Holga stuffed in their too. Sadly it has no film in it at the moment. :(

always.
04/28/2008 03:19:14 PM · #24
I'm trying to take it everywhere more often either in my bohemoth Expidition X7 with everything if I'm going to a place I know I maya wat to shot at (which is often)... or in a smaller bag If I'm just going here or there, and even then I'm just as apt to through the big bag in the back of the car and be done with it than switch bags...
