I just got a call from a local AM radio ad executive. I now have a Wednesday appointment with her to discuss my being hired for photography ad work the station needs. I have never met a client on this topic before. I've shot ad work, but it was a for a friend, and the fee was a trade out my work for products they sell.

Will they want to tell me their budget and I just say if that is enough? Or will I need a full work up of prices? If so what is a reasonable hourly rate for my work on this level in this field? Has anyone taken a job like this? I don't know what to expect, or what I should do to prepare. I don't know what the going rate is in my area? Man I am flying by the seat of my pants here. I think I can manage it, yet it would great if anyone had a clue and tips to pass on to help me have a jump off reference here.

Thanks much!
~Paula

Yes, I apologize for the dual post. Yet, can I request you hide this one, and put back my post on the Business thread? I didn't see the Business thread at first. I doubt I'll get much response in this area of topics.

I have spent the past 6 hours reading through all the threads, and following the links and reading those. I now have all the info I need. Thanks for all those who answered similar questions on previous threads there was a wealth of info in random places, with determination I was able to find it all.
