The intial reason was a very belated honeymoon (over 11 years in fact).....it just built from there. So no kids will be coming with us.

We stop over in Singapore for a few hours each way, but we are scheduled to go to London, France, Switzerland, Italy, Greece and Fiji.

HI all,
sorry I have been a bit on th quiet side, all this setting up a business is incredibly time consuming (and resource consuming) work.

OK, as it stands the probability of me coming stands around 95%, just a few things I need to get sorted next week then I am good to go, so hopefully I will be joining yo all on the 19th.

OK, as to meeting up, it needs to be somewhere that is pretty easy for the non-natives to find, so I propose a landmark such as St Pauls or The Eye, or Tower of London etc. To be honest if we follow the route of the last GTG then that was close to a lot of the landmarks/sights. Hopefully with better weather this time though. It gives the likes of Judi a chance to see a lot of what London has to offer in here limited timeframe, things such as Downing Street, Westminister, Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace amongst others, also we could easily hop on the tube or a river bus and go down river to the Tower of London, the Fire Monument and St Pauls then cross the river to Tate Modern.

Judi, I will PM you my number once I have confirmed I am coming, so if you do get a bit lost you can always give me a call.

Unless anyone else has any suggestions of course?

That sounds great Mark. I am staying at the New Pembury the entire time I am in London. Can we meet there or is that out of the way? Knowing me I will get lost but I always have fun doing it!!!!!

Hahahahaha!

Anyways...where are we going to meet? Would my hotel be a suitable meeting place or not? I don't know London so I have no idea.

Your hotel isnt really ideal, so you would be best off getting a tube (underground train) to somewhere more central. I will check to see what is your nearest tube station and work out what would be easiest for you.

is the hotel in 'seven sisters road'?
if so, then it's a tad far out to be the meeting place.

That's good to know about the hotel. Any directions would be awesome. If you can PM me your Mobile and I will return the PM with mine so I can at least contact you there, that would be great.

looks like your nearest tube station is finsbury park which you can see on this map.
you are in zone 2 to the north east, on the piccadilly line (dark blue) and victoria (light blue) line.
heathrow by the way is on piccadilly line as well.
if we are meeting at the eye, you would take either of your 2 lines to green park, and then change to jubilee line to waterloo!

hope this info helps. anything you want to know, just hollar!
