Hi, I'd like to decorate my home theater room with photos on the wall but I have no idea on the following:

1-Type of subjects, style of the photos
I'd like to see some of your suggestions, please post examples if possible.

2-Positioning

3-Size of the photos

Could you please post some examples if you have any?

Thanks!

How big a room? Colour? Layout? Furniture style? :)

Photoplus magazine, from the U.K. has a good article with some examples in the March issue. They don't make it's contents available online, however.

This may not be what your looking for but some people decorate their home theaters with framed movie posters of their favorite movies. Just a suggestion.

Not a big one: 2,6 meters long and 3,40 meters wide.
The walls will be painted with a pastel color, like sand color or the like.
The LCD TV together with a small rack for the equipments will be placed on one of the large walls and the sofa on the other. The style of the sofa is modern but not too much. The rack is made from dark wood.

Ooooh, I just had an idea for my reel of film! (Wish I had a home theatre to use it on, now) Some movie-type (or maybe in the style of the old-time popcorn ads) poster-sized shots, with the film reel off to one side and the film unreeled and twisting and looping around and thru' the posters. I guess if you know any artists the film could be painted on, too. I found my reel at a thrift shop for $3.
Sorry if I'm getting too elaborate, my imagination tends to wander sometimes...

Hmmm... It's only in my mind... and I can't draw... but I'll see what I can find. I'm sure somebody's done it AND recorded it :)

eta; okay, here's one neat site that might trigger some inspiration;
www.hometheatreinteriors.com

One of the sculptures there of unreeling film is kind of what I had in mind, except the film would loop farther along the wall, around pictures, not just out and back to itself.

I don't know how artistic or crafty you are, but it doesn't look like it would be too hard to make your own clap-board, using a photo for reference.

I'm not sure what kind of look you're after (if you even know at this stage); sleek and elegant? Fun and nostalgic?
