I missed the submission deadline, but was thinking of entering the following. Can you let me know if it would have been worth a shot? I wasn't 100% sure on Sunday that this was worth submitting, so I'd like some thoughts. Thanks!

I find the shot to be technically correct. The propeller's diagonal line contrasts the others lines quite well. The blue and yellow lighting is nice also.

I do find to photo's composition to be a bit too centered considering the asymetrical aspect of the other lines in the shot. It seems off balanced a bit.

All in all an above average shot... prolly a 7 from me. :-)

I like it, though I do find the negative space upper portion to be a bit disconcerting here as well as the hot spot on the upper part of the prop center; To me it would have been improved if the symmetry were complete here, for example, I would have loved to see the pattern in the bottom right all throughout (just giving an example--I realize the frame bars aren't there to shoot!). Would have probably given it 6 as is.

I really like the play of color and the textures, but do find that one hot spot a bit distracting.

Any thoughts on this
Substation?

There`s a lot going on here Paul. Plenty of potential for several different styles of image.
For me, in this particular viewpoint, there`s too much competing for your attention and straight away, the handrail would have to go.
I was going to say change the viewpoint to get rid of the houses, but I think they make a good contrast to the substation and I would probably centre the theme on the connection between the two..just a matter of looking for the best viewpoint incorporating them both.
Then again...it looks heaven sent for "Parallel lines".
I`ll be on the next flight from Glasgow" :-)
