Hey guys, a while back Steve Hill pawdrix, helped me out in my superhero series by taking a backround shot for my black cat photo, you can see it below.

Well he is going to help me again with other shots wich "need" NY skyline backrdops but this time I am shooting Poison Ivy. Does anybody want to collaborate with me on this? I am not sure what I am looking for but I would prefer a jungle photo or some forest, it needs to be mostly green and red and preferably be backlit. I would need this in "high" resolution.

Thx in advance! :)

Sorry...can't help you there. I have only bushscrub or tropical foliage to choose from. No jungles with ivy's for Jane to swing across to Tarzan on!!

My daughter has a unicorn plush-toy which she named Poison Ivy after the character.

I've got a bunch of Madagascar rainforest photos on my hard drive somewhere... (the disadvantages of taking 6000 shots - you can never find anything!)
I'll have a look and let you know if I've got something that fits the description.

Hmmm - I have plenty of Forest on my doorstep, but red and green sounds like a Springtime or Autumn sort of shot, old foliage and new shoots ?

I have some Michigan forest shots taken in October. Some green pines with a forest floor of red blueberry bushes. Some are green pines with red blueberry bushes and snow. Some are green pines with red and yellow deciduous trees. Some with the former and lakes and/or rivers, etc. These are the only examples on DPC, but they can give you an idea of the colors and general environment.

I have a dozen or more of this redwood forest. Let me know if this will work.

I have a bunch of pictures from Sedona, most are bracketed to 1 2/3 stops each way, so the sky is,t overexposed in another shot. I haven't done anything with this except size it down. Everything is 10 MP.

Well just came home from the shoot and the thing is I am not that good at blending two images together yet so I shot the "greenscreen" shot´s pretty much from the knee and up so I would need well a "portrait" oriented (or a shot that can be cropped to portrait) that is shot pretty much straight on and is backlit and has some heavy foliage behind the model. For example I couldn´t use your shot AndyMac24, the shot is great but wouldn´t really be convincing to have Poison Ivy stand in front of it, needs more foliage. I could use a shot like your´s rjkstesch but the "upwards" angle wouldn´t fit. Likewise the boathoses don´t really match with the theme of the Poison Ivy character, at least would need to be pure nature behind her for what I had in mind but that other shot would fit better.

Madagascar sounds awesome though cause a Jungle shot was what I have in my mind for this, I really wish we had jungles here in Iceland, but we barely have forests! What the hey, beggars can´t be choosers so sorry for being a jerk :)

These are as close as I can get to what you are looking for.

Many of the Michigan October shots I have are straight on, and many have dirt roads. They are mostly landscape but could be cropped for portrait orientation and /or to include the foliage and eliminate the road. Not many back lit though, except the ones with water in the background.

A few to consider. No processing except some sharpening has been done.

Couple here that I found, probably got them in portriat orientation. I've got plenty of foliage shots so I'll keep looking at old shots.

Thx guys, have just done a REAL quick edit to see what works best and looks like Apita´s looks best with my studio image, just tones best with it and has kind of the same look, sort of. Unless someone else has got a real funky jungle shot that would match best, I think I have found a match :)

Thx so much for the input and help offered everyone, DPC is always ready to help :)

Arpita's always got great stuff! I looked for some - I have lots of pictures of a bunches of trees but I can't find any pics of forests. ;-)

Good luck - can't wait to see the finished project - I loved that one you used Steve's cityscape on.

Funny, the first thought I had was from the Hoh Rainforest too... :)

This was shot yesterday. I would be happy to return there and shoot a few with better composition for what you would like to do.

I'm going to St. Croix in April. I can go deep into the forest there and take some shots it you'd like.
