Died of cancer at the age of 41. Such a shame. One of the first CDs I ever bought was his "See The Light" album. Great blues playing and singing, and it was such a kick to watch him play with the guitar on his lap the way he did. If you aren't familiar with him, he was the blind guitar player in the movie "Road House", and two of his hits were "Angel Eyes" and "Confidence Man". Article here.

Wow. I remember how big he was when See The Light came out. He was pretty young. I wasn't aware he was struggling with cancer so bad.

Sad story. Sounds like he was a remarkable person as well as a gifted musician.

That is a bummer, I always enjoyed his Role in the movie Road House, I even bought the sound track which consisted mostly of his songs.

"You play pretty good for a blind white boy"..."And I thought you'd be bigger".*

Quite a talented man, and sure to be missed.

*yeah, I know the movie (almost) word-for-word

I remember seeing him on some late night talk show playing "See The Light" when it was first released. He amazed me at how he just wailed on that guitar and yet managed to make music.

Considering that he's younger than me, really makes me appreciate the health I have.

Jeff Healey was one and still is one of the greats. Not only a great blues guitar play, just a great guitar player period. The world is a little quieter without him. He will be missed.

Saw him 'jam' in a Seattle bar a few years back. Man was class...not only on the guitar, but as a person. He will be greatly missed!
