I've not submitted yet either (or shot for that matter!!) - if we've got enough I'll give it a swerve, otherwise I'll suit up and head out in a little while...

Barry, can't look at flickr in the office, it's blocked. It will be late for you before I get a chance to look at home. Could you post them in your workshop and PM me the link?

I count 3 entries so far, Barry, Steve and myself.

Thanks guys.

My fences entry is on 6.17 right now.
03/19/2008 04:35:05 PM · #159
Ok woke up to 6.33, went down to 6.17 while driving to the office, and has now gone down to 5.87.

Harsh.....

My score is freefalling, down to 5.36 now :-(

But I got a favourite! Figure that out lol

How are we looking for this week?

I've got a shoein entry. Anyone else got anything?

I have a very feeble entry for Patterns. I seem to spend all my time propping up the rest of the team. Maybe, just maybe, I will manage to break 5.0 soon.

Nothing as yet - wanted to shoot for intimacy but I don't think I'm going to get the chance to shoot what I had in mind...so will probably go with a weak/average pattern shot... :(

I'm in patterns, along with the world and his dog :-)

My fence shot looks to be finishing around 5.6 - will be nice if I better that with my pattern shot.

By the way, did everyone notice inshaala got the blue for harsh environmments :-) Great work!!!!

Yep...grats to inshaala...now do it for Team UK please :)

I'm in for Intimacy. Fence is about 5.92 atm...might do a 6 but I doubt it...

Well, major apologies to the team - I'm in a bit of a 'counter eye candy' mood these days (think child throwing DPC-like toys!) and I went for a funny entry rather than a direct interpretation. I'm getting caned for it right now (sub 5) but I love it as a shot. Totally forgot that this was an Olympics submission...will do 'oooh shiny' or something next time to compensate :)

lol, I'm sub 5 too. My shoe in wasn't enough of a shoe in it appears. Plus not a very good shot anyway. Entered it to ensure 4 entries for the team.

I've been considering a self-dq to save my average which I'm trying to get up to 5.9 this year, but don't want to let the team down either. Sub 5 scores aren't getting any medals though. I'm so torn....
03/27/2008 03:03:19 PM · #169
My Patterns score started at about 5.2 and is creeping upwards every time I look at it, about 5.49 now. My target average for this year is 5.5, which I suspect I'm below at the mo.

I wouldn't worry about letting down the team - we don't seem to be having a good week and we haven't got any points yet anyhow :-( I've been really disappointed with my scores since DPC Olympics started, although I've got higher scores each week (apart from this week so far)

How many entries have we got in this week? I count 4 - me, Limbo, SteveJ and Quasimojom unless anyone else has entered and kept quiet. How's your shot doing SteveJ?
03/27/2008 03:56:21 PM · #170
It started at 4.8, now creeping up slowly to 4.93...so maybe there is light at the end of the tunnel? Just want to get back into the 5's, since getting the 30D I haven't done too well. But then it could be the time of year and the weather??

To which the only correct response is "So what's the best settings for my camera to photograph an oncoming train?"

Nope, the correct response is 'I think using a remote would be a good idea!'

I think this photo's quite pertinent about now...

The Icelandic and Polish teams are bricking it for sure :)

EDIT: And one of my comments is "are you the guy who shot his penis". I think it was worth it just for that comment...
