As far as I know you cannot remove old challenge entries. It would likely mess up some of the stats of the site, and I'm sure other things too.

You cannot remove challenge entries because then the users could not see your entry when looking over old challenges. However, you can create subfolders in your portfolio and move the photos in there, so they are not in your top level portfolio.
For example, in my portfolio, I have a folder called [Challenge Photos]. |

It would be nice to have the option to hide them in your portfolio, the current system does not allow that.
The idea is that they are clickable from the challenges and your entry chart at your profile, but no longer visible in your portfolio. That way it doesn't mess up the statistics (you are not suddenly a good PG because you only save your 6+ scores), but can show in your portfolio only the photos that you are happy with.

I believe removing challenge entries would also require a recalculation of all the scores too.
Best to just keep your challenge entries separate, if you wish, in folders as others have stated above. |
