Canon EF 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 DO IS USM

The idea is to take and post one picture each day for each day in February. The goal is to record something that happens each day and post with why you took the picture or what it means to you.

Suggestions:
1. Step a bit out of your comfort zone - new photographic technique, pp technique, share something important, do a self portrait, take a candid, etc.

2. Keep up on posting and commenting.

3. Record in your comments why you took picture, what it is, how you felt, etc. Even comments such as, "I was tired and bored so here's my boot" tells us something.

4. This isn't about creating a great picture every time but more about exploring yourself and others in the DPC community.

5. When you really, really don't feel like taking a picture: take lenscap off, click, lenscap on. See rule 4.

6. Your spouse and kids make great subjects. If they're not used to it by now, they will be by the end of February!

7. Post processing steps if you think others may not know the technique.

8. Boring, mundane, and posting several days at once are allowed.

9. If you can't do every single day post what you have. We're not keeping score.

10. Don't give up if you miss a few days.

Rule:
1. Have fun.

The above suggestions can be revised as necessary.

It's a great chance to learn about ourselves, others, and try new things.

For those who want to play, post here and I'll update the list. I'll create the picture thread at the end of the month.

I totally love this side, and have participated in all the past ones, so I'm in on this, too. I'm also doing the SP side in February... I've been known to bite off more than I can chew. But! You all might get SPs for my Slice submissions on occasion. Anyway - I'm in.

As a very part time participant in the December slice (WAY too busy during that month), I would like to try this one. Can't promise much and there maybe some repetition, but it would at least get me out shooting!

Mad_Brewer - you may want SC to change the title to 2008 :)

These side challenges are a ton of fun, and very interesting. Another thing about them is that they motivate me to spend time going and getting shots that would otherwise just pass by unseen. Another perk is that you get to know other DPC members better as the month goes along. It is a good interactive experience for all involved.
I am just finishing the Jan "Where you live", and have used up all my play time and late night stamina by shooting, posting, and commenting daily, so I am going to sort of miss this one.
I may drop in one day a week, and share some blue skies, green landscapes, and orange sunsets if that is ok with everyone.

Well, you can count me in. I already know that a PAD for the month won't be possible, but it is always fun to try. So, I will do my best to comment and post photos.

This month's "Where you live" side challenge has proved to kick my butt, I think I've been behind the whole month. BUT, I plan on doing the Feb. 29 day sp side challenge, so I'll try to post those here too maybe, plus a few others here & there.... I'll be a "not all the timer" if that's alright with everybody :)

February is always a busy month for me as I travel from Baltimore to Daytona to Fontana to Las Vegas. This side challenge would be wonderful. I would love to be counted in.
