Hi folks,

How do all the pro photogs out there hand over the final goods to wedding clients? Do you throw it all in a gift bag? Use a custom box? Wrap it in a grocery bag? lol Just wondering what other people do. I'm yet to come up with any non-tacky ideas.

i'm not a pro nor have i ever shot a wedding - but my expectations as a client would depend on price, but a finished album wrapped in celophane or crepe paper with a note from the photographer thanking them and wishing them well would be fine arriving on the doorstep by courier. (and any additional separate prints inside said package obviously)

ETA - But then again you should probably have gone over the album photo choice with them anyway and probably have them pick it up from the studio so they can check it before taking it away.

I tie mine with a 1" red fabric ribbon wrapped 4 ways. They love to untie the bow and whip open the book :)

Drive by. :-D

Actually, I usually put everything into large padded envelopes to keep it safe and sound and undinged. They can also store the items in the envelope which keeps them happy for years.

Not the most elegant, I know, but IMO the most practical.

I use a very sturdy gift box for the album, prints and DVD. I usually deliver myself, so not worried about the courier denting the box.

Too bad I'm stuck on an island where my resources are limited :-(

But it's nice to know what other people are doing! A real giftbox would be nice if there was somewhere I could buy them online (wouldn't be able to find that sort of thing where I live).
