Sigma 70-300mm APO DG Macro

For a cheap lens, I am very impressed with the build quality and despite the dreadful light all day, I've been snapping away and already have two challenge shots primed using the new lens!

Other presents included a large container of screen wash for my car, which would have qualified pretty well for the Christmas speed challenge. Oh, the joy of having parents with a sense of humour... :)

Robert is our resident chef here at DPC. Master Chef, from what I hear. Maybe the Iron Chef? :-)

I defer to Pawdrix when it comes to cheffing abilities; he's the real thing. I did do it for a living, for a while, but he's progressed further in that field than I ever will. And I know we have other chefs on board as well. BAMartin for one, Tim Toole used to be a chef, I know there are others though their names don't come readily to hand right now :-)

Not really a gift (at least not until a few weeks), but I rented a wide Canon 10-22 lens for my trip to Death Valley and Palm Springs tomorrow. I'm going to spend a couple of days at each location.

I've rented this lens before and love it. That's why I'll probably end up buying one soon, but it may not be during the Canon rebate period which ends in about a week or two--but shortly thereafter.
