I am taking part in the December Slice of Life Side Challenge. Most of my photos have been getting 40 to 80 views, some of the earlier photos got a little over 100 views each. But this photo, put up 5 days ago has 421 views already! I like the photo but I am a little surprised by the number of views and just a little curious as to why.

Linked somewhere else on the internet or in the forums? I don't mean to hijack the thread, but a recently uploaded photo in my portfolio has over 200 views already, which is way out of the norm, and is completely baffling to me. I haven't even posted it in any forum (well, except for this one).
Maybe it's a Christmas miracle?

| My alligator shot in the last Wildlife challenge was linked on a couple of other sites and the views quickly shot over 10,000. The views count currently is over 14,000 and that challenge wasn't even a year ago. |

| One of my pictures has WAY WAY more views than my other ones too...and it's weird - it's my only DQ'd picture,it has over 500 views :S |

DQ'd pictures get LOTS of views. People want to see why they were DQ'd. I always look at all the DQs in every challenge, myself.

DQ'd pictures get LOTS of views. People want to see why they were DQ'd. I always look at all the DQs in every challenge, myself.

Isn't that sorta like rubber-necking as you pass an accident along side the road?!? lol (ok, I'm as guilty as the next guy - both of the rubber necking and for checking out the DQ'd images)
