Sure, most of us have done it - I even did a search when deciding on a business name. Anyone care to share what they found? Here's some of mine:

Apparently, I'm a pretty talented guy! (Who knew?) Versatility is my name, and I show up as many things, including:

- A boxer (sounds painful!)
- An actor (mostly on soap operas - wow - wonder if I'm a corporate spy, or a studly billionaire... or both!)
- A real estate agent in Orlando (I'll sell ya the house of mouse - its a steal!)
- A choreographer / dance instructor (oh boy - dancing with the ladies! :D)
- A celtic musician AND a jazz musician! Intriguing, though I haven't picked up a woodwind instrument in years ;)
- A very straaaaaange YouTube video - scary, cuz the mo-ron 'star' is wearing a hat that I SWEAR came from my closet @ home.

The most interesting one, was when I started my photo business last year & was searching for a decent name. I wanted to simply do "Billy Ross Photography" - but it was already taken... by a man in Memphis! Seems he has done well for himself & has even passed the business to his son (who now runs their studio).

I'm sure that's more than most of you wanted to know, but just goes to show how 'its a small world after all' can be true. OH! It also makes me smile to realize there are several different race/ethnic versions of 'me' (I'm a huge proponent of skin color NOT being a factor in life).

Thanks for listening - NEXT! :D

Yes I've googled my name lots of time. I just did it then and the first 8 hits are me. Let's see what the others are:

-a graphic designer from Seattle
-manager of "Safe Harbour" in British Columbia
-deputy commissioner of operations at the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles
-works at the general hospital in Orlando, Florida
-a teacher of air industry services at Filton College (no idea where that is)

Hmmm, I'm quite versatile it seems!

The Thai embassy in Shri Lanka is in the Gloda center.
Count von Gloda is a villain in a James Bond novel.
Gloda is a cooking ware manufacturer.
Glöda is the name for IKEA's lightbulbs.
I'm incredibly hot, it seems.

Luckily enough, my website pops up as first google result for both my nick and my full name.

I Google myself every few hours to see if I've moved up any from the 14th page...

If I add Chef or Photographer to the search I come up on the first page.

a director and actor
a mennonite (true, but not me)
a jazz bassist
a web developer

It was fun...

Apparently...
I am a former professional baseball player
I am also known as Charlie Hustle
I am the all time hits leader and will never see the Hall of Fame, except if I buy a ticket
I am a habitual gambler
I am a liar, and I bet on baseball...

Oh, those were all the same guy...

I am also apparently a famous bass vocalist, a scultor, a used car sales man, a florist, etc....

and way down the list I actually found myself...
A crystallization engineer / scientist

It's all me until page 4, then Roger Stalley, a MedaeivalChristian scholar, gets two entries, and Linda Stalley, an Anglican priest in Manchester, gets one.

I have a unique name, it seems...

apparently for my nickname too...
