The start of Season II of the DPL! Come on moderators, quit holding out. Even if it is the same as Season I, please just give us something! Even if you have to change the rules in the middle of the season, please just give us something! Even if you have to make up new rules at the beginning, the middle, or the end of the season, please just give us something! Even if you have to abandon everything you ever thought was wrong with Season I, please just give us something! Even if you have to make it with less teams, please just give us something!

We are all tired of waiting for Season II. Some of us only paid for another year's membership for the sole purpose of competing in Season II. (I will admit, I am one of those people. I was ready to leave DPChallenge after my inaugural year was up, but I re-upped so I could play in Season II with some great team mates!)

Sire Council, Langdon, Santa, please bring DPL Cheer to the masses by announcing SEASON II of the DPL! Let the teams rejoice in the holiday spirit with thoughts of ribons dancing in our heads and give us SEASON II!

Thank you for taking the time to listen. Merry Christmas to all.

Think I am ready for it to start as well and I am not even on a team.

I was watching Christmas With the Kranks the other night. I know the movie is lame, but I am stuck with Armed Forces Television, and they are inundating us with Christmas movies. Although they won't play the best Christmas movie of all time....Badder Santa!

Anyways back to the original story, there is the scene where everyone is upset that he won't put Frosty on his roof and they keep calling him and chanting "Free Frosty, Free Frosty!" So, it got me thinking and I decided to to do the same thing....

FREE THE DPL SEASON II, FREE THE DPL SEASON II!

Thanks for listening!

Hmm, I've been wanting this for so long, I'm almost over it. :) I'm going to be losing my camera to the repair shop after christmas, so I don't mind if DPL holds off until end of Jan. :) Hopefully I'll have it back by then. Otherwise I'll be starting with a P&S, which will be just SOOO much fun to go back to...

The DPL is in a state of coma and probably never comes out of it. It's paralized by fear of making decisions.

Get out the paddles and charge them to 300 to revive our lifeless DPL! (Ok, so I watched a little too much ER over the last 14 years)

You told me it's not dead so the coma metaphor is obvious. I think you also told me the council faces some incredibly complicated and even impossible decisions witch prevent the DPL II from going live. You're right, it looks like a miracle is needed!

Karmat I'm trying to be annoying on purpose. I want the DPL thingy going again. It was fun and I miss it. We had this other thread where questions were asked, you did your best to say something about it but in the end nothing came out of it and no answers were really provided. Straight answers are the only answers. Either it's dead or we have a start date, even if it's January 2011.

Best, Hrannar

FREE THE DPL! FREE THE DPL! FREE THE DPL!

To the members of the Site Council:
There are just four more days until Chirstmas, but that is still plenty of time for the Site Council to announce the dates of the next DPL Season!

To the rest of the wonderful members of DP Challenge:
Don't waste your time watching who is going to gain more votes in Iowa in two weeks, jump on board a real issue and work to get Season II started!

The heck with the DPL. All I want for Christmas is Mariah Carey to sing that song to me and me only. :)

I'll send her right over just as soon as she gets ready to leave here.

Yeah, I think that it is time to resuscitate the DPL. It has been a nice break, but I am ready for the pressure again. Come on Langdon, gives us a big ol' holiday gift...and try to up the allowed resolution of our entires as a side gift. ;)

Yes, but...

It would sure be nice to have some balance between the number of entries in recent member challenges (65-85) and the 500+ entries we'll be voting on once DPL2 gets going. Just sayin'....

Personally, I think the number of recent entries has been too low. I blame those low numbers on crappy challenges more than anything.

Either way, we need to:

I think that the answer is to have MORE weekly challenges, say double the number we have now. The DPL obviously gets people shooting, and any excuse for that is a good one in my mind. Adding more challenges would spread the entries a little better. There are enough ideas floating out there to keep 6 fresh challenges each week. Either way, I'd like to see the DPL up and running again, and I'd like to see it sooner rather than later.
