| Okay, I am sure there is an easy solution for this, but I have yet to figure it out. Either my camera or PS Elements or some combination of the two "intelligently" senses when I turn my camera sideways to take a picture and automatically flips the picture for me. The problem is that I often batch resize the pictures to upload to websites or send to people, etc, and PS Elements only lets me enter either the horizontal or vertical dimension. So if I enter, say, 640 for the width, the horizontal and vertical pictures end up being different sizes. Short of separating horizontal and vertical pictures into two different folders and resizing them separately, does anyone know how to fix this problem? |

Lightroom has a multiple size limits for exporting.
Including horizontal, vertical, long side, short side, etc.
Not quite sure if you're willing to spend the money for it, but it does some other AMAZING this too. |

you need irfanview..
just open one of the pictures and press "B" (for batch) and voila..
go to batch conversion -> advanced options.. and set what you want

| i don't know if psE supports actions or not, but in CS, i use an action that sizes by percentage. you'll need to play around to determine what the percentage is, but it's not that big a deal. |

Breeze Browswer Pro will do it. $70 or so, but I think they have a cheaper program as well that should do it too.
Type in the max size (640x640 say) and the longest side will be 640, the short side stays in proportion.

If all your original pictures are uncropped then scale them to a fixed percentage rather pixel dimensions.

| I use ACDSEE and I am very happy with it. You can do batch rename/resize and lots of other tasks. You can also set it to keep the original timestamp when modifying your images. |
