I've been back for a few weeks now and I am still going thru the 2100+ images that I came home from Yellowstone with. If you haven't been- GO. It was the most amazing experience! I went with 35 other Nikon photographers. We spent 8 days in The Grand Tetons and Yellowstone National Parks. The landscapes were incredible and the wildlife abundant.

Very nicely done! I'm going to go back through 'em again.

I was out there this summer, and I'd LOVE to spend a week or so just shooting the place. We made a whirlwind tour en route to Seattle, and got to see a lot, but for a photographer that just kinda whets the appetite!

I thought it was interesting to see that we both took a shot from virtually the same spot of these same trees:

Hi Alan.

I thought the the way those trees were dead yet standing, and white on the bottom was cool. I had bison chase me off the boardwalk a few min. after I took mine. Kinda scary. It was cold overnight so the bison were warming up in the steam.

I don't know which way you entered the park, but we came in from the East entrance, and it was really sad to see how many dead trees remain from the big fires of 1988. Ironically, that was the last time I had visited Yellowstone, just as those fires were starting (no, I didn't do it!).

Excellent gallery. I really like your Steller's jays and elk. The scenery shots are spectacular. I see you made the great stair climb. I only did than once. I maybe going to the park next year. Did you get shots of the Steamboat Geyser, I heard it was going off more frequently. Van
