I have never scored above a 6, though I have many 5.5 thru 5.8's, I would like someone to give me help on my post processing as well as comopositions and I would really like to get into portraits. Also I would like to pick the persons mind as they come up with ideas on what to shoot.

I will take any jedi master as long as they are willing to help a friend along the way. Anyone????

Edited for more pleading :)

I guess I don't really qualify to be an apprentice because I've scored some sixes, but I'm trying REALLY hard for a ribbon and would love to work with a ribbon winner to help give me that last push I need if anyone is interested. I feel like I'm pretty good but just not WOW good yet. If someone thinks they could coach me to WOW good, you would get to be my hero forever. :)

Well, I have scored over 6 quite a few times, however after 150 challenges, I still have no ribbon to my name. Soooo, I would be happy to have a little mentoring to get over the top. Even if someone wants to do it as a "side mentoring", I would be open. But, I recognize I do need something a bit more than what I am doing at this present moment.

Personally, I am mentoring another DPC friend right now - he just got his first score over 6.00. I am more than happy to help on that side of the equation also.

I am open to whatever feed back there may be!

Just remember if you are an apprentice under DrAchoo, you need to be able to freeze bugs and stuff like that :)

OK, so far we have (please PM if I have missed anyone out) - When it comes to pairing up, I think as Jedusi pointed out, anyone without a 6 or very few (1 or 2) should get first bite of the cherry.. This isnt really to help people ribbon, its really to help people get out of a rut of 4s or 5s.
Also, set an initial pairing of say 4, 6 or 8 weeks. Or however long you feel comfortable with.

noraneko put you in mentors as I am sure you have knowledge enough to cut it!

This is a bit like the X-Factor for photographers.. do us 'mentors' get a special prize if our selected apprentice hits a ribbon?

Yeah, a nice warm feeling inside and massive respect from your mentee. Granted thats worth shit in monetary terms but strokes ones ego a wee bit :)

Put me down as a trainee. and to make things easier, I would be happy with with an average score of 5. since I seldom keep up with "threads" I will wait to be contacted via email. Thanks!

Well I've broken thru the 6+ barrier about 5 times so don't know if that keeps me in or not. But if anyone needs help breaking the 5+ barrier, I'm certainly qualified to help in that capacity lol.
