I took this idea from the "best compliment" thread, so post here the first comment you recieved on DPC. Mine was:

Fun but somewhat flat.

"Unique take on this flower. Point of view emphasizes thorns as much or more than the flower itself."

"EXCELLENT perspective here... really beautiful seeing this from the upside... love the contrast here... and the symmetry... the lighting is also very nice... not sure why you chose to put more space of grey at the bottom? -7-" by RiderGal (thanks once again to her)

how on earth does 8+10+7+7 = average 6.4? just curious.

This photograph is absolutely brilliant. I'd buy a print of this for a kitchen wall. This has got to place top 3 -- great job. drewmedia

bdshort July 15 2002:

pretty nice shot... would have worked well for the City Life challenge too... the green light on the left is distractng though. A shot from street level might have worked better.

4/15/2002:

"Bet she was tired after all jumping. I like the shot, but the background is too busy and takes away from the subject".

I think the comments from that single challenge both encouraged me to keep going and taught me so much.

For this image for the Nostalgia challenge:

"Nice shot. Definitely fits the challenge. Beautiful toning you've done. Excellent composition. One of my favorites for this challenge."

A nice way to begin...

I like this one, it's similar to mine...the lighting might be a bit harsh. like the variety of the vegetables:)

"The following is not meant in a lustful manner, but the apple peeling is distracting. Without it the nicely lit body could stand on it's own (as a subject). And this apple=sin theme also isn't very creative anymore ;-) -stephan"

I wasn't very good at statistics, but I've never heard of a "Not Applicable" value equating to zero. oh well...what do I know?

My first comment was: "There are too many indistinct shapes here for me to get a real feeling of "money". Is it a chocolate mould?"

I wonder why I continued submitting pictures after such a beginning!!!
