I recently started working with those huge reflectors that are set up in cities. Beautiful light. Tons of variety in colour and quality. Amazing range, lovely, wrap around effect.

btw, I posted a couple of thoughts about using buildings as light modifiers with some examples here and here

If there's interest I might be tempted to do a bit more of a detailed discussion on how I find light in that sort of situation.

i am yet to find light better than reflected light.

Super! I been very sick, so I have missed a lot. I am your natural-light guy for this challenge: NO artificial light for me :-)

I'm in if you'll have me.

I have dialup so I go through periods where I can't upload, and it takes a lot of time to leave very few comments, but I *do* try and if that's okay, sounds like fun and educational.

I'm just wondering if the Herald Sun double entendre was intentional.

WOW - I must be excited I just purchased Light: Science & Magic!

It's coming from the USA to Australia, so probably won't be here until the end of October - GRIN!

I think I'll check out the library if I get some free time, but that book looks good. :)

Christoph, I got you signed up!

I think I'll start the thread when I get home from work on Saturday night, so that everyone around the globe can start when the first rolls around. I'll be at work late Sunday which will be the first for many already. Looking forward! I'll also try to post any links people try to find in the opening post for photos, so if anybody has any that we might like please feel free to post' em. :)

Waking up early this morn and finally feeling better after a few days of sinus problems I spotted your thread.

Agreed lighting is very key to a photo and I am always in a state of learning. So if the list can stand another added I'd like to participate. Because of general business I will not be able to participate on a daily basis but I can submit on a 2,3,2,3 pattern (a photo on the Oct 2nd then on the 5th then on the 7th and so on)
