LemeryJand I are thinking of doing a photo class or workshop as birthday gifts to ourselves! I haven't heard of any good ones in Calgary, though... Anyone have any suggestions??

It looks like something is in the works but not until next year.

This is a relocated European Nude/Glamour Workshop that Kiwiness and Anastasia have been doing for the last few years. The players will remain the same, just the venue is changing.

Details this weekend.

Yes, Pedro is hosting a GTG/Workshop next summer, though I think you wanted sooner.

If you're going to hang out though, Kiwiness and anastasia will be at the GTG, and Librodo is rumored to be on the tentative guest list.

I know you could probably PM Pedro or sea2c and see if there is anything in the area.

In Toronto, Michael Reichmann of the Luminous Landscape is hosting a workshop with Jean Paul Caponigro. Totally worth the $550/per for that experience. //www.luminous-landscape.com/workshops/seminars.shtml

I think the Camera Store also has a list of local events running through out the year...

Check out Darwin Wiggett. He does local workshops and seminars.

I don't see them on his site but Darwin used to do 1/2 day and full day seminars.

Mount Royal College has a few classes. I used to know the instructor and he was awesome - not sure who's doing them now though. The classes seem pretty basic, but at the same time you can never know too much about the fundamentals.

MRC class

The workshop mentioned above WILL be happening for sure - it WILL be July 5th and 6th - Kiwi/Nasti are confirmed - Manny's just checking on some dates to see if he can make it work.

Shecoya has done a ton of work researching a few things and will be sharing as soon as we hear back from a few people. Good times ahead, my friends...good times. ;)

ACAD (Alberta College of Art and Design) also has some pretty great photography courses available on a regular basis through their continuing education programs... you can typically find the ACAD continuing ed. booklet with the free magazine stands in most of your local grocery stores here in Calgary.

~~~ As Pedro mentioned the info. regarding the workshop next July will be posted asap.. just waiting to hear back regarding some location options here in Calgary and of course Librodo ;) ~~~
I DO NOT recommend Rob McKay Photography Calgary. He seems to be very unreliable such as not showing up for scheduled lessons and not returning phone calls to clients. I had this happen to me, and even after a few phone calls to ask where he was or why he didn't show up, he still did not not call back.
