I haven't been around here for a while...a LONG while..so hello everyone!

I was just wondering if anyone had opinions to share on a couple of old photos that I'd finally gotten around to looking at again.

Heres one..its a bit dark. I edited for the print which has a bit more contrast...
Flamingo
and if you are wondering, i didn't chop its head off, it was actually trying to catch stuff underwater at the time. the only editing i did was to darken/smooth out the water around it and change the contrast/lighting.

The second one...i keep looking at it, and thats usually because i like it. No edit at all on it.
Girl in the Fountain

The third one...
Brokendown
This is from a few years back when my family and i were trying to get to Las Vegas and broke down a couple of times on the way... no edit on this one either.

Welcome back. I like the broken down one best. I think that it needs a little more contrast and I'm not sure about the crop. The bit on the bottom left is distracting. Maybe a bit more in the photo or a tighter crop. I've only been a member since early this year so I dont know how valid my suggestions. The Flamingo is interesting but I dont like the fact I cant see its head.

Oh Crap...I forgot! I did edit that one, but I don't know where it went, I've had to delete this computer so many times..its hiding out on a disk...I'll look for it tomorrow....

But I did take out that bit on the bottom and the little road marker in front of the car...and i think i changed the contrast a bit...it was a while ago, I don't remember exactly.

But thanks for the welcome back!

I think the flamingo picture is pretty good. With a shot like that though, meaning it's kinda hard to tell what it is, they work better when they're very pleasing to the eye. Maybe if the picture was bigger, a bit more contrast, and you ran some noise reduction software on it, it would be more of a standout shot.

And welcome back. =]
