Hi,

last winter I had an assignment at school to create a creature in Photoshop, half man/half animal, this is what I did.
More details in the image's comment.

Pretty creepy. Tutorial for this could be pretty cool though.

Very nice work. Beautifully merged, and the colours and the background work really well together. Great job. I bet you had fun doing it too.

I'll share one from my folio that I did a year or two back...

Ooh, I just remembered this one from a while ago too... StrikeSlip might remember this one if he comes across this thread. :)

Well, I used Liquify (under "Filter") in PS a lot to "mould" the face and also dodge and burn, the brushes, clone tool and more. Much of the image is "drawn" in PS using yanko's cat image to stretch with liquify, some of the hair was drawn with brushes, eyebrows and more.. many layers used, masking and more..
The use of masks is a huge part of it.

It's fun to compare it to yanko's image "18 years" that I used in my image:

If more people have images like this, please post them in the thread...

Thanks,
Amason

Wow, you go to too much work!
I just put one layer on top of another and erase the parts I don't want!!!

Well, this was an assignment for school, so I had to put more effort in it. :-)
