| Now if only I could adjust the actual key locations. I hate the way that manufacturers assume how I want the key columns lined up. Blew out my wrists with Carpal tunnel and tendinitis because of this issue. |

For $1,500, it'd better do more than just type.
Like I look at my keys away. I just use a dvorak keyboard layout, so the letters on the keys don't matter. Better security since nobody can actually type on my keyboard. |

The drawback of this one is that I can't recreate a full 102 keyboard. The kit come with keys 1-25 (for $140) and you can add keys 26-50 (for an addition $50).
Sigh. When do I get my neural implant? |

Yes, those any keys are expensive.
It seems that Gordon's keyboard has a BUNCH of any keys though :-)

It sounds and feels like the old IBM keyboards. Each key is a mechanical switch. Great tactile feedback as well as the audible click.
I'd have one at home, except my typing is already too noisy for my wife. |

oops, i meant keyboard instead of typewriter...lol. noisy, yes, but a very satisfying sound. :)

I would love the "click", but since I am one of those "watch always what my fingers say and do" type of people... you would never know what I was trying to say. And I would never be able to access any of my password protected sites... they insist that you use the same password over and over again. How silly!
As for the click... there is software out there to create it as you type. I will see if I can find it again and let you know!!

Can you get ones that have the keys printed? That keyboard is much more reasonable and affordable than the Optimus...although still not on the same cool level.
Edit: "Das Keyboard is rated up to 50 Million key strokes"
I'd go through that in a week. :) :P
