Sara posted more photos in her portfolio but hasn't mentioned anything.

Maybe she's taken him to Corfu

I received a card today from SaraR and she states that she has sent Peregrine to xianart. And that was before she left for holidays.

I see the little scamp has one trip to Scandinavia booked already. I could show him a tiny glimpse of fjord and, if he arrived in the next 2 weeks, I could even take him to Malta with me...

ETA 'a' on the end of Malt-a

Ya think he will like to see some Dutch countryside??

I'd love to put him up for a couple of days :)

I've updated the original post. The idea is that you shouldn't host Peregrine more than a week before sending him on his merry way, but I guess people will love him so much that they can't bear to part with him ;-Þ

If Peregrine doesn't expedite his travels or adjust his itinerary to come to Miami before he goes to P.E.I. Canada, then he is going to miss an opportunity to hang out with about 15 DPC'ers at the Florida Keys/Key West GTG, Oct 2 - 9 in two weeks.

Seriously, I mentioned this a couple of weeks ago and no one seemed to take much notice. We would really like to get him here in time to bring him on this GTG. This would be a unique opportunity for a whole group of us to host Peregrine on a 7 day GTG from Miami to Key West.

Can we make this happen by either expediting him through the two stops before he gets to Miami - - -

or - - - allow him to postpone the stop in P.E.I. Canada until after he comes here?????? Hey macleodn, would you mind if he came here first? I'll send him to P.E.I. immediately upon returning from the GTG.

Is it too late to add me to the list? This sounds like a great idea, a lot of fun!

yakatme, the itinerary is not set in stone, only pixels. PM xianart your address and she can send him to you in time for the GTG.

ivale28, done.

. .

well, peregrine arrived today, with a travelling companion. sara included a friendly little giraffe to keep perry company on the long haul across the atlantic, and to remind us of his visit when perry has moved on. the sprog is very excited, and, i think, understands that perry will only be with us for a week. he's dreaming of what adventures we can take him on this week. sadly, we came back from ross farm to find him here, as i know he would have enjoyed it.

ah well, to bed. more will follow.

How long does he stay at all these adresses? I just counted and if he stays a week (including sending off to next location) I have to wait 23 weeks!!

not sure I can handle that :-P

sorry it's been a day since i posted pics of the traveller - i had child induced flu.

so, here's peregrine opposite my son's school (nice view they have, eh?) and on the dock at Chester Basin, a village between our house and his school. he quite enjoyed the ride, and was suitably impressed with the views.

will post more from our trip to town today later.

I have been so busy this week I didn't even get to check the forum. He can go Florida first.. Just make sure he doesn't have any tan lines.. :)

Thanks a lot. It's going to be one more detail to make this GTG a memorable event. I'm starting to imagine the shots that we all are going to get of him on this trip....deep sea fishing, hanging out with the cats at Ernest Hemingway's house, chillin' poolside at Kokomo's with a Pina Colada, and sunning himself with the girls on the beach. He's going to enjoy this and we'll post some great shots with the GTG crowd.

I'll PM xianart my address today and send Peregrine to you when we return from the Keys.

Sounds great! I see that some people are putting some "little extras" in the box with Peregrine.. If you can fit a couple of those Florida beach girls in the box i wouldn't object. LOL Hope he has a great time and good luck with the GTG.

I thought of showing Peregrine's travels on Google maps. Here's the link to Perry's Map, but does it let others add their markers? (if they're signed up to Google maps, of course).

I logged in and tried to add to it...but the map states it is view only and it is unlisted.

Ok, I made it public. Does that help?

It still says 'View only - Public'.

I suppose there should be some code that you can enter to be able to add anything to the map, but I don't know how to find it. Perhaps I started with the wrong map... I should have the one with the different personal icons that people can choose.

I have just been reading up on the Google maps thing. The map can only be edited by one Google account. So the options are make a new google maps account strictly for this purpose and do a password rotation. Each person who gets Peregrine will get the password then change it, and give it to the next person and they change it, etc. The other option is to get someone to do all of the updates. Personally I think it is a great idea and like plan A for the updates.

Just a suggestion.

What about those maps where you stick your own location with a pin? We've had one or two on dpc before.
