Oh well, no audition request for me ...

Hey Monica! I'm sure you did great! I wouldn't worry if you babbled, they probably don't want quiet, camera-shy types. Thank you for all your input here. I'm getting a bit nervous. I went out and bought some new clothes tonight, so hopefully I'll look ok. I'll let you know what happens tomorrow. Should be fun.

Good luck those of you that are going for it!!! I'd love to see you on the show!

I'm sorry I came into this thread late, I would have suggested creating a donation pot to send someone to the interview (they would have been a shoo in, web site comes together to pay the way for talented young photog...). If it's not to late I'd throw in some $$$ to help send someone to an interview.

I actually sent some pics in the other day, no hear back yet but I know my odds are not good and compounded by fact I don't do many people pics, I really need to build on my portfolio.
Good luck to everyone and of course post if you got on so we can watch you!

Well, I'm back. I did ok, I guess. I didn't get to say everything I had rehearsed a hundred times since yesterday, but got the majority out. I didn't get to talk to Mr. Rhima though, a pretty girl interviewed me came in and told me I had 2 minutes to state my name, why I was different, and why they should pick me for the show... go! Then she looked at my samples, kept 1 8x10 (the others were 8x12's, so I guess I screwed up bringing that size) and said thank you, they'd be in touch. Oh well, it was an experience I won't soon forget.

Thanks for all the good lucks and encouraging words everybody. If by some great stroke of luck I do get picked, I will be sure to give DPC a plug somehow. :-)

Or...a more realistic idea is that he saw your portfolio, saw your image you gave, liked what the camera saw, and wanted to interview you personally because he liked you.

It's not uncommon for the flunkies to interview on the first round of auditions.

It is uncommon for the Executive Producer to sit in on a first audition, unless you are some big name star.

It's the same as saying that Rupert Murdock shows up to a newspaper and opens a suit case full of cash and offers to buy the place. He has flunkies that do that stuff.

It's the same as saying that President Bush is in Iraq with an M16-A2 assault rifle killing insurgents single handedly. He has Marines that do that.

It's the same as saying that the bad witch in the hit classic movie "The Wizard of Oz" killed her enemies. She had flying monkey's that did that.

Exciting. Very exciting.

You sat in on all the auditions on Wednesday?

He may have, it's a new show concept after all.
