I had trouble too at first. Click on the fourth icon where it says Message: then put the image number in the box. You need to open the image in your portfolio then the image number will be in the URL.


It's the fifth icon, not the fourth (the icon with the two square and littler rectangle, right between the icon with the world and the icon with the bald guy).

You can find the image number either by rolling your mouse over the thumbnail on your page here (the number will be in the information bar), or as ephin says, by opening the image and the number will be in the URL. Copy paste the number.

If you want to type in the whole thing, type: "[thumb]999999[/thumb}" Where "999999" is your image ID number, and the last "}" is a "]" instead. If that makes sense :)


thanks Ursula...I needed that...I'll have to see if I can "get" it, not lying when I say I am not computer literate...sigh, that old dog,new tricks thing I guess...:)

no, I updated the last few days just right into the browse category by putting something in the comments bar, but will now try & get them all inthrough the thread. Thank you!

seemingly getting nowhere...gosh how dumb can I be??? here's the problem: when i drag my mouse over the thumbnail, no URL number comes up, so i right click ont he image an dthen on Properties down at the bottom of the selection list. there are 2 numbers there, and no matter which one I type it comes out as just a number...
I will keep trying!

Anne, 74979 is your user id #. When you're looking for the image number, look at the information bar at the bottom of the page (at least in Firefox). Or, better, open the image in question and then get the number of the image. It should say, "IMAGE_ID=" and then the number.

I think the colours are beautiful as they are. It could use a bit more punch (work with curves maybe). What "bothers" me most in this image is the composition. The flower centre is pointing to the left and upwards, and to my eyes that's where the biggest "negative space" area should be, at top and left. As it is, it looks like the flower is pointing at a wall, and I think it makes it look somewhat strange.

If you don't mind, I did this re-edit:



It's cut a bit too close maybe, but that's all I could do with what was available. I adjusted curves, cloned out a few little imperfections on the leaves (the flower is so perfect, the petals scream to be perfect), and added the border to set it off from the gray of the webpage.
Oh, I forgot, ran through Noise-Ninja.

Here's a variation with curves, "apply image" in soft light mode, a smidge of hue/sat and a smidge of Neat Image, then a slight vignette.
