Okay, Robert.....is this better? You're gonna get a ton of queries from me if you're gonna comment and I *will* try, but now you've opened that can of worms!

Yes, quite a bit better, don't you agree? Maybe a TAD too far in the contrast range now, but a lot better. Look now at the spider; see his haloing? The whole is maybe a smidge oversharpened...

It's a striking flower and an appealing "pose", but you have problems with the whole thing feeling down-key and blah, muddy, except for the very luminous BG, which becomes a dominant point in the image. Here's a quick stab at adjusting it with tone mapping, hue/sat, and sharpening:

Day 6
This is the original image. Would have liked to put the orchids against a different background but I still haven't figured that one out yet!
Anyone...feel free to take artistic license with this one!

I had trouble too at first. Click on the fourth icon where it says Message: then put the image number in the box. You need to open the image in your portfolio then the image number will be in the URL.

It's the fifth icon, not the fourth (the icon with the two square and littler rectangle, right between the icon with the world and the icon with the bald guy).
You can find the image number either by rolling your mouse over the thumbnail on your page here (the number will be in the information bar), or as ephin says, by opening the image and the number will be in the URL. Copy paste the number.
If you want to type in the whole thing, type: "[thumb]999999[/thumb}" Where "999999" is your image ID number, and the last "}" is a "]" instead. If that makes sense :) |

Okay, I reedited yesterdays shot based on suggestions - much better I think - what do you think? Oh and thanks everyone for the comments - this is such a great learning experience.
