Um...yep...all things floral. Anyone interested in doing this? I've been thinking about this all morning as I've been working on some still lives so I thought I'd put this out here to see if anyone else could groove with 30 non-stop days of flowers...flowering weeds and trees would count too...I'm really into weeds right now. Also all sorts of pods and expired states of being would be completely acceptable.

And perhaps a few stipulations...no store bought gerberas or roses, try to stay away from store bought anything, and no fake flowers. I was also thinking about making it strictly B & W but would like to hear what others might think about that.

Speak up if interested...if you loathe flowers images I urge you to join in to challenge yourself or just ignore this thread.

We could start around July 1st.

Love it! I don't know if I'll be disciplined enough to do every single day but I think I might have to give this one a try. Been in a funk lately so this might help bring me out of it.

If I had my camera I would join you! But my camera has been sent away for repairs and I won't get it for about 5 weeks.

Well I've only tried one 30 day challenge so far and failed miserably. I only got about the first week but even that one week was great because its such a learning tool with the comments so count me in.

Hopefully since I enjoy taking shots of flowers I can make it through the whole month. Just saw one yesterday I thought to take but a lot of people are saying flowers again?...... in the threads about challenge entries. This would be a great outlet for us that like taking shots of flowers.

Ohhhhh - this one's raised the eyebrow of interest here.
Just might have to get off my butt and get involved in one of these 30-day thingies.
Funny this comes up today, as I snapped a floral yesterday for the first time in a long while.

FIVE weeks?? What are you going to do?

I'd like in on this one. No one on DPC ever seems to like my florals, so maybe I could get some real feedback on why.

I have a small point and shoot I am using but it's just not the same. A friend is loaning me his Rebel XT for the weekdays when he is working but I have to give it back on the weekends. I am suffering! LOL

You should have started this in May... many of the wildflowers are starting to disappear around here.

That's what home improvement centers and the floral department at the supermarkets are for.

Are weeds considered florals?

He, he, I love flowers! But I'm terrible at these 30 days things, they're very frustrating for me. :)

Ursula entering ANY competition, be it official or not, is very frustrating for me.

All I got is weeds myself, except the few roses and assorted flowers I bought and planted in the spring. But they are some beautiful weeds.

I might just light mine on fire to make the pics more interesting. :)

Now that is an interesting idea. I can see the neighborhood going up in flames. Some great photo ops.
