I'm rather surprised that this wasn't enough for a yellow from you, Don.

Jutilda thanks!!
I agree with Jaded_Youth that is highly underrated, and not just because GraphicFunk is my DPL teammate :-)

Thank you, posthumous! I have proudly displayed my new Blue Ribbon on my profile homepage! I really appreciated that you "got" what I was trying to convey in the shot...even if technically it wasn't the best. ~Elizabeth~

I'd just like to give a shout out to some images that had cheesy effects, thereby sacrificing their score, but effects that were completely appropriate to the genre they were trying to recreate. It is the perfect example of the meaninglessness of "technicals." All these photos had perfect technicals for what they were trying to achieve.

Wow! posthumous, you really acknowledge the efforts, not just the technical perfections and I, for one, appreciate YOU! Thank you again, for validating my efforts. You are very encouraging! :)

After reading your comment, I see the thematic importance of the composition and the amount of sky involved. To be honest, it escaped me on first view, which was all I could afford. Instead I simply noticed how effectively the iconic shapes of "church" and "balloon" were captured on such a small scale. I didn't put enough thought into how that tininess related to the aspirations of both devices. I gave it a high-score but still underappreciated it.

Thanks, I'd love for there to be more conversations like this on DPC.

This was my Posthumous Blue Ribbon for nightmares:

by goodman

I'm afraid that's all I had time for this week. Dreams had many great photos, some of which have already been pointed out, but I didn't get to finish voting in that challenge, so no ribbons.

My choice other than goodman as seen above (hers for nightmare) These for Dreams:

I didn't see all of the images either but here are some of the ones I saw and liked (and haven't been mentioned already and didn't ribbon)

Missing Link

goes to e301 for

goes to redmoon for

goes to Techo for

Yes, I know, Techo has a "real" yellow ribbon as well as a Posthumous one. I can't help that. Blame the voters...
