It's me again!

I have been a dpc member for almost a full year now. I absolutely LOVE this place. I have learned so much, and I feel like I have improved quite a bit.

Now, onto my special request... :)

I feel like a major area that I need help with is processing. I only really understand the basics of photoshop, and I want to learn more.

So, what I'm looking for...is a personal tutor that would be willing to help me learn more about processing and how to do it.

If anyone is up for this, I would be forever grateful. :)

Now, who wants to take me under their wing???

What are you comfortable with in photoshop? What's your normal workflow? What would you like to learn (specifics)?

From what I can see, I don't think I could be much help to you. But I know others may be. Have you checked out the tutorials? I also suggest picking some actions (like Draganizer) and running them, then breaking them down and analyzing each layer. That's seemed to help me understand 'how they work' which lets me apply that knowledge to other photos without using that specific action.

Playing around and messing up is a very good way to learn. :)

If you want to really get to know about layers, vision and realistic but awesome processing, I have to recommend "Welcome to Oz". It has totally changed how I view photos and is helping me learn how to use layers and process for more drama. It includes a cd with all the photos he has in the book so you can follow along and learn by doing. I have a whole library of photography books and this one blows them all away.
I would offer to help you but (1) I don't use ps and (2) you are already better than me. :)

"If the mountain will not come to Muhammad, then Muhammad will go to the mountain"

Maybe you shouldn't go to the mountain. Maybe you should go to google instead.

Check out this web-site Good Tutorials. It has a lot of helpful tutorials. I used it when I was learning.

Also this is another one I just now googled: Tutorials. I had not used it myself, so can't tell you if it is good.

It you google Adobe Photoshop tutorials you should get quite a few choices. Good luck.
